ADAM / DELBECQ / FOCH (Ref. DOC063)

...Le propos, acoustique, évite la dispersion folkloriste et la démonstration. Serge Adam (trompette), Benoît Delbecq (piano préparé) et Philippe Foch (tablas et diverses percussions) seraient plutôt des pointillistes, improvisateurs soucieux du détail et du maintien d'un élan collectif par le choix des notes, des rythmes, des timbres. Pleinement ensemble, les trois musiciens ouvrent un espace immense à l'imaginaire sans virer dans le contemplatif tellement attendu dans ces circonstances. ...In nine thought out and playful pieces, the three musicians prolong the universe of Don Cherry encountering world music and a melodic itinerary. Adam on the trumpet, Delbecq on the prepared piano and Foch on tablas and other percussion instruments share the same sense of space, where interplay takes the lead. Raw improvisation without fillers, where the rhythmic canvas gives an impression of impressionistic ballads.
